The Wheel 11:15
Harg! The Wheel sits somewhere far off in the distance Where do you need to go? The Wheel will tell you when it's ready The Wheel sits somewhere far off in the distance Deciding fate for somebody You'll never know it when it calls for you The Wheel sits at the edge Somewhere you will never comprehend All I could tell you is what I've known And I'm so far off the edge The Wheel spins around again No one will ever know when it ends Decisions fall to the wayside They're too encumbered by the lies The Wheel decides this tribe's fate Never will they ask of mistakes Always believing in it And giving away the change of a life That they could live if they don't let this control them They'll never realize it Until they turn to someone that will tell the truth Don't let it control you Some people never learn the truth To not let something control you But it was too late The wrong decision came up Shallow grave for the one who fell to the wayside Of their corrupted minds of wanting some control Of their destiny; Trying to say what they will know will happen If they just talked to each other This would never have happened The Wheel spins again Too determined to fall in a pattern Too much stuck in randomness Couldn't know that the Wheel; it would all fall apart in the end And something bad had been mustered That tore apart the fabric There's will be no going back It all started when When the wheel broke Something else has been released now They will know what they have done now They should never have got involved It is too late, after all Something has now been released The Wheel broke and the seal had crumbled in front of the tribe Something came out They realized: too late to go back It's time to-

Unkempt 11:00
I was leaving from the arcade After a few rounds of Galaga and hanging around with friends But as I was walking home Passing by some woodsy area There was this SUV That I could tell was following me I was just trying to get home I wasn't far, I could see it off in the distance They slowed down on the road I saw a glimpse of that man behind the wheel His hair was unkempt And he had some weird mechanic getup I stared at the car for only a second Before I sprinted to the woods I prayed that he wasn't going to come after me I hid under a tree for minutes end Trying to catch my breath, but be quiet at the same time Time felt like it crawled And when I regained my composure I walked out of the woods to see he was gone So I then sprinted on home I know about the disappearances I don't want to be the next one I told my parents and they had me give a description To some officers that were investigating the missing cases And I've been paranoid ever since Always looking over my shoulders In fear that he'll be there again I don't want to disappear But he could be anywhere What if he's around the corner And they haven't caught him yet I don't want to be the next one I don't want to disappear

The Gardener 13:59
I know what you did You and your troupe think you can get away? You know who that was that you left for dead After you had mugged her for all she got? She was my significant other That you snuffed the light out And I just can't let you escape punishment You were the ones that planted the seed to your demise A flower has been wilted Way before it's time to bloom An herbicide of bandits Coming in from the avenues But the garden is calling And I'm not defying it I put my hand down in the soil And the ground shakes around it Bury me in daffodils, dandelions, and oleander Bring the roses, penstemon, and digitalis The tulips, petunias, and lavender And let the grass grow over me And take on a new form And grow larger than you can imagine I'll make you feel fear Like you made her feel fear A roar rips through the city As the flowers rip through the ground And I come charging in A floral beast ready to snuff your light out She didn't deserve this But you on the other end This is what you get This is my retribution Tear the houses apart I will bury you in the dirt When I find your crew I will tear them apart And when I find you All that will remain Will be a garden from your body You planted this seed Now you must reap your excuses Because they're already rotting

I know we're trapped in the middle Of Kezef's reign of terror But we survived when Tristan was on the rise And we will make it though this era We thought it would be over When they took down that corrupted Pope And then Kezef came around And rose to power Look at me Remember when I found you In that back room of your house Where you hid from his disciples As they executed your family They eventually find you there And dragged you out into the living room I caught a sight of it And I rushed to the scene And I intervened I knew they would want me dead Just for being a demon But they attacked your family For being one of angels and demons A fight ensues But I just want to get to you To get you out of there Summoning a wall of fire I separate them from you And I climb through a window as I carry you And run away from your house Remember how you clung onto me? I could feel you shaking I kept telling you that it'll all be okay Your feathers rustling through the wind I knew at any moment they would give chase We crossed a busy street And ran into a library I was hoping to lose them After a half an hour Hiding behind bookshelves I knew we had to be safe by then I comforted you as you cried Told you everything is going to be alright And ever since, I've took you under my wing I can't ever let them hurt you again And after the death of Tristan We had a feeling it wasn't over Then Kezef started chaos again And we knew more horrors were to come His disciples started following him And Kezef, well, he has a lot of power A principality who is hungry for control But no matter what happens You're under an oath of protection I'll keep you save as best as I can

about

"Terminal of Dimensions" is the second album of Era Nine. (Third if you count Decaying Into the Other Reality by Vrishika Closing). This album has worked itself up to being a (Progressive) Metal album, becoming the most aggressive I Remember 2006 album to date, whilst still having the IR06 identity.

As almost every IR06 album does, this album continues the over-arching lore. In This World continues the Rifts storyline. Unkempt sees the perspective of a child who managed to elude Micah (The Sculpture) and give a description of him to authorities. Sicyon's Broadcast resumes the story about the Ganymedians. An Oath of Protection continues the lore of the world that Betrayal in the Cave is set in: Demon Keepers. Instead of being from Cain's perspective, it's from the perspective of Vonik Trozgozoth, a demon lady who rescued an angel boy, Machediel, from the disciples of an evil Pope known as Pope Tristan Wittner. After Tristan's downfall, however, rose a different threat: an evil principality named Kezef Halocharge, who is looking for complete control over everything. While all of this happens, Vonik stays hellbent of protecting Machediel from harm.

Now, The Wheel, written during Eras Seven and Eight, tells the story of an unknown tribe that worshiped some sort of wheel. Eventually, everything went to hell when the Wheel broke, and something monstrous was released, becoming the fall of the tribe.

Then there's The Gardener. This song tells the tale of a man transforming into a floral beast to avenge his wife after muggers had killed her. The song ends with the titular Gardener rampaging through a neighborhood, trying to find the muggers in order to tear them to pieces.

Keep That Beast At Bay introduces the villain known as Vantarask; a being known for destroying dimensions. The first describes the perspective of someone talking about how Vantarask should never be allowed to escape some prison, or absolute chaos will ensue. However, it's all fruitless in the end when Part Two hits, as Vantarask tears through the ground. Testing the Terminal, the closer of the album, describes an unknown person watching the chaos ensue from some terminal. (A very important Terminal to the inter-connected lore.)

Rafe's Note: And now here's our sixth album we've made with eight tracks. This album is... a metal album, essentially. There was a joke I had before we started Vagabond Letters where it was me saying "would it be funny if we made a dream pop album followed by a metal album?" Well, we just didn't have the material to make a dream pop album. (And if we did, we'd probably make a shoegaze album instead. I don't know, maybe that will be our next one now that I have an multi-effects pedal. I have been on a BIG Beach House kick recently.). So, Vagabond Letters became a folk rock album. And, well, here's the progressive metal album. Degradation of the Beauty of Nature in One's Mind was also pretty metal, but the second half became a folk rock side. So this, besides two songs, is our Progressive Metal IR06 album. Either way, this album was always going to be a heavy album by design. Vagabond Letters was designed to be soft, while Terminal of Dimensions was designed to be hard.

The biggest inspirations behind this album were King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (since that's where I got the idea to follow a soft album with an aggressive album), and especially Godspeed You! Black Emperor for sonics and structure. We've been on a GY!BE kick for months now. I even recently got 'ALLELUJAH! DON'T BEND! ASCEND! on vinyl! (As well as 7 by Beach House, Infest the Rats' Nest by King Gizzard, and Every Country's Sun by Mogwai). There's even Slint inspirations on Wilbur's side

We recorded this album while I was taking refuge at his house for a few days. There was a dangerous family fallout at my house, and I had to get away for a few days. The album cover is actually taken at a hotel in Muskegon that I went to a day prior to going to his house, where I found a weird hall that looked very liminal to me, so I recorded a couple of videos of it and one of the frames as the cover. (If you're wondering, the hallway leads to a restaurant of all things. Most of the time I was at his house, we played Minecraft whilst listening to records that I brought and also later bought, as well as records he already had. I got the records mentioned in the previous paragraph at a record store in Downtown Muskegon where Will's frequents. I paid for two records for him. Filth by SWANS, and Selected Ambient Works 85-92 by Aphex, while I bought the other four for myself.

I want to thank Wilbur, his family, my family and friends, James, Tatters, the Beach House discord server, GY!BE and KGLW, and everyone whose stuck with me. Things feel off right now, but I know I'll get through it.

Will’s Note:

This album follows VC3 in a similar fashion. This album has a lot of metal influences. I’d say this is one of our heaviest IR06 albums. This features a track we meant to release a long time ago, “The Wheel”. I’m super happy about how this album came out. A lot of good things have been happening lately, but a lot of bad too.

I’d like to thank God, Rafe, my grandparents, Hunter, Faith, Anjel, Jay, and Carter. Life’s been getting worse, but they still have my back.

Godspeed,

-Wilbur Bullara
